Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and thoughtful Accounting Manager to join the Buck Mason team and help support the next chapter of our growth. This role is for someone who takes pride in the details, believes strong processes create great businesses, and enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and insight to the work behind the scenes.

As an Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. You will own critical accounting processes, help strengthen systems and workflows, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and partner with teams across the business to support smart decision-making and responsible growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and supervise month-end close tasks as assigned including preparation and review of general ledger entries, analysis and completion of Balance Sheet, P&L reports and variance analytics.
  • Assist in the daily activities of accounting and financial operations.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial statements and reporting, and ensure that policies and procedures meet other organizational objectives and needs
  • Manage and report on all fabric and raw materials, and own reconciliation between accounting and supply chain team.
  • Oversee accurate inventory valuation across raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods in accordance with GAAP, and reconcile perpetual inventory records to the general ledger.
  • Calculate and record cost of goods sold, analyze inventory reserves for obsolete or slow-moving stock, and reconcile inventory across accounting and supply chain systems.
  • Oversee cash disbursements and receipts, including wire transfers, credit cards, ACH payments, and check processing.
  • Evaluate existing systems and procedures to identify opportunities for streamlining-lowering costs, minimizing paperwork, and reducing workload while upholding quality and accuracy.
  • Process and submit monthly, quarterly and annual sales tax filings for all states
  • Undertake additional analysis and ad-hoc projects as assigned.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team of 2-3. Setting clear goals and providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with the Controller and key business partners to monitor spending and uphold accountability for budget expenditures monthly.


Required Skills:

  • 7-10 years of expertise demonstrated in a similar accounting capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Experience in NetSuite.
  • Apparel/Manufacturing Industry is preferred.
  • Innovative thinker and proactive problem-solver.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities, including the ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and drive results.
  • Versatile and adaptable with an entrepreneurial mindset, thriving in fast-paced environments, while also fostering teamwork through effective communication.


$130,000 - $140,000 a year

Here at Buck Mason, we're all about transparency and fairness, especially when it comes to compensation. While the base salary range for this role is $130,000-140,000 per year, your total compensation package may include commissions, bonuses and other perks tailored to your performance and dedication to our craft.
