About the Position

CAMCO Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Coordinator / Senior Accounting Assistant to support our accounting and financial operations in a fully remote environment. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who is comfortable handling day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating invoices and payments, and supporting internal financial reporting.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to ensure accounting information is accurate, organized, timely, and properly documented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily accounting and financial administration activities.
  • Process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Review invoices, expense reports, payment requests, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
  • Assist with invoice processing, payment tracking, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
  • Enter and update financial information in accounting systems and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end accounting activities.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts as assigned.
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with payment follow-up.
  • Prepare routine financial reports, summaries, and accounting schedules.
  • Assist with expense tracking, budget monitoring, and financial data analysis.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in invoices, payments, and account records.
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding billing, expenses, and financial documentation.
  • Help maintain proper documentation for audits, reporting, and internal review.
  • Provide general administrative and organizational support to the accounting function.
  • Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Perform other accounting and financial support duties as needed.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
  • Experience working with invoices, expenses, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and accounting software.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Xero, or similar accounting software.
  • Experience supporting month-end close activities.
  • Experience with AP/AR management.
  • Experience preparing financial reports or accounting schedules.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
