A well-established organization is seeking an Investment Accountant to support accounting, reporting, and operational activities across a diversified investment portfolio. This position will work closely with finance colleagues, investment professionals, and external service providers.
Responsibilities- Record and reconcile investment transactions, cash balances, holdings, and related activity.
- Coordinate funding requests, distributions, investment expenses, and other portfolio transactions.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for periodic financial reporting.
- Monitor cash requirements and assist with liquidity forecasts.
- Resolve discrepancies with custodians, administrators, and other external partners.
- Support year-end audits by preparing documentation and responding to investment-related inquiries.
- Assist with investment tax reporting, including K-1 reviews and supporting workpapers.
- Improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting practices.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of relevant investment accounting experience.
- Familiarity with marketable securities and alternative investments.
- Experience working with custodians or investment administrators.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems.
- Ability to manage deadlines, investigate discrepancies, and communicate financial information clearly.
- CPA designation preferred.
Compensation: $95,000-100,000Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
