Northrop Grumman’s Financial Shared Services team is looking for an Accountant (Level 02), reporting to the Manager of Financial Assurance.  This role will be located in Irving, Texas and will have an in-person requirement of a minimum of two days a week.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of imputed income & proxy schedules and reports

  • Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information from multiple organizations including, but not limited to, payroll, timekeeping, travel accounting, accounts payable, security, and transportation

  • Adherence to and communication of accounting, regulatory and auditing policies and procedures

  • Interact with senior internal/external personnel on matters often requiring coordination between organizations

  • Communicate regularly with the Imputed/Proxy team leader and key stakeholders

  • Support ongoing SOX controls efforts managed within the Financial Assurance team

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field of study with a minimum of two years professional, relevant experience or one year of professional, relevant experience with a Master’s degree

  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles; process analysis and evaluation; and strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data requirements

  • Experience with ERPs (SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle)

  • Proficiency using MS Suite Tools including Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in imputedincome and proxy regulations, with reporting and compliance experience

  • Proven proficiency in SAP ERP and Concur expensemanagement systems

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
