As an Accountant supporting Caterpillar’s growing Services businesses, you will play a key role in executing complex customer contracts and delivering accurate financial results that support Caterpillar’s strategy for profitable growth. This position partners closely with customers, business partners, and cross-functional teams to support contract billing, financial reporting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and month-end close activities.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound business judgment to navigate customized customer agreements, support evolving business models, and ensure compliance with Caterpillar policies and reporting requirements. You will serve as a trusted financial partner, helping drive operational excellence, informed decision-making, and customer success.

This position supports highly customized customer agreements and evolving business models where no two contracts are the same. Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities and sound business judgment while delivering timely and accurate financial results.

What You Will Do:

  • Execute contract billing and invoicing activities in accordance with customer agreements and Caterpillar requirements.
  • Support direct customer execution activities and serve as a key financial contact for assigned contracts and product lines.
  • Analyze contract profitability and support services' asset tracking activities.
  • Complete monthly accounting analyses to support internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Support forecasting activities by partnering with accountable reporting leads and business stakeholders.
  • Perform month-end close responsibilities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Research and resolve complex accounting and operational challenges.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, product, commercial, and finance teams to support business initiatives and customer commitments.
  • Support ad hoc projects, business reviews, and leadership requests as needed.

  • Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
