THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELLBase Salary: CAD $82,017.00 - 102,522.00
Reporting to the National Director, Growth & Client Service, Central Region, the Account Manager, Team Lead will play a hybrid role that combines hands-on account management with team leadership. Approximately 50% of the role will be dedicated to managing an assigned book of business, including client relationships, renewals, advisor engagement, service delivery, retention, profitability, and integrated sales growth. The remaining 50% will focus on leadership and training activities, including supporting Account Managers, providing guidance and escalation support, contributing to team initiatives, and helping execute the overall segment strategy.
Account Management Responsibilities- Manage an assigned book of business, including scheduling and leading client meetings, negotiating renewals, presenting annual benefit plan reviews, promoting GreenShield products and services, and implementing plan amendments.
- Build and manage strong relationships with aligned advisors.
- Drive overall profitability, retention, and integrated sales targets for the assigned block of business.
- Manage at-risk client relationships in alignment with the established governance framework.
- Participate in client and prospect presentations, including finalist meetings.
- Partner closely with Business Development and Service teams to ensure client deliverables are achieved.
Team Lead Responsibilities- Support the implementation and monitoring of key initiatives for the Account Management team.
- Lead onboarding and training for new Account Managers and provide ongoing training on new processes and products for existing team members.
- Serve as the first point of contact for technical questions and support.
- Act as the first point of escalation for client issues and concerns raised by Account Managers.
- Provide renewal support and guidance to the Account Management team.
- Work closely with the Director team to execute the overall segment strategy.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of process documentation.
- Support ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications and Attributes- Experience in client-facing roles.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of and experience with health and dental underwriting.
- Strong sales, marketing, and customer service knowledge.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.
- Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and creative thinking.
- Confident, agile presenter who builds relationships easily.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
- Ability to complete the LLQP designation within a reasonable timeframe.
