Account Manager
Location: Yellowknife
Reports to: CEO or designate
Salary Range: $80K - $95K
The Role
The Account Manager acts as the primary link between the agency and its clients, responsible for maintaining strong relationships with specific accounts. You will be a key day-to-day agency representative, identifying client needs, selling agency services and talents to meet those needs, and ensuring a highly responsive service orientation in all transactions. This role requires you to be knowledgeable in both the client's business and the agency's business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison, marshaling agency resources to meet client needs and managing client expectations and communications.
- Develop strategies and client plans, seeking out new client acquisition and opportunities with existing clients.
- Effectively present, sell, and defend all agency work and proposals to clients.
- Collaborate internally and with clients to conceptualize and execute creative solutions across various media platforms.
- Provide detailed notes and briefs on client meetings and discovery to inform the creation of client work (digital, web, graphic design, or strategy).
- Develop accurate price estimates and quotes, ensuring solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct quality checks on all material before client presentation and gather client feedback.
- Assist in managing campaign measurement, establishing realistic business goals, and providing accountability through reporting and analytics.
- Stay apprised of clients' brands/products/services/marketing developments and key industry/local trends.
- Develop scopes of work detailing tactical descriptions and complete billing reports and invoicing for assigned accounts.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- A business or marketing degree combined with successful agency experience in more junior, supervised account group capacities. In lieu of a formal degree, more than five years of acceptable experience in a marketing position is desired.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, an aptitude for analytical thinking, and strong presentation skills.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, capable of working well under tight deadlines.
- Proven strong creative, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Flexible, persuasive, encouraging, and motivating, with the ability to adjust to shifting priorities and demands.

- Occasional overtime and travel are required, and may involve some odd hours.
