Full Job Description
This position reports to:
Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities:

As an Account Manager for Large Electrical Contractor Accounts, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of ABB's Electrification products in Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

This is a hybrid position; successful candidates will be located in the Atlanta, GA metro area.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power and Smart Buildings divisions in the United States.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Drive contractor relationships by building strong, multi-level partnerships with electrical contractors and influencing specifications to prefer ABB solutions.
  • Execute strategic sales plans to grow market share and margin, introduce new products, and consistently meet or exceed volume and profitability targets.
  • Lead opportunity management through proactive pipeline tracking, competitive intelligence gathering, take-offs, cost-effective proposals, and successful negotiation and closure of project orders.
  • Deliver customer education via technical presentations, training, and industry engagement while maintaining accurate CRM data and analyzing hit-rate performance.


Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university/college or GED with 5+ years of sales experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products
  • Knowledge and experience quoting and/or selling commercial, industrial and residential projects to electrical contractors
  • Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $100,500 and $160,800 annually and is bonus eligible.
