We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join our team. This role is essential in fostering strong customer relationships, driving business growth, and expanding our market presence in the sand and gravel/aggregate industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in sales and account management in a direct sales environment. Experience with CRM tools will be highly valued. As an Account Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met while identifying new opportunities for growth. The successful candidate will be a motivated, sales-focused individual, responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships within a specific territory (Northern California / Central Valley).
Duties
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through warm calling, networking, and market analysis.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies that enhance customer engagement and business development.
- Manage multiple accounts simultaneously, providing tailored solutions based on customer requirements.
- Conduct regular meetings with customers to address any concerns or opportunities.
- Represent Rema Tip Top at trade shows as needed.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory and occasionally for trade shows, and company events.
- Visit customer sites, including sand, gravel, and aggregate facilities, to assess needs, support sales efforts, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Utilize CRM tools to track interactions, sales pipelines, and account activities.
- Lead technical sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase product value propositions.
- Analyze market trends and client feedback to inform strategic planning and product development.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the designated territory and occasional domestic air travel for sales meetings and other Company events.
Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License or ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory
- 2-5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the industrial, sand and gravel, aggregates industry.
- Ability and willingness to work in industrial environments, including sand, gravel, and aggregate facilities
- Ability to safely navigate industrial job sites, which may include uneven terrain, heavy equipment, wear required PPE and varying weather conditions, in accordance with company safety policies.
- Proven experience in business development, direct sales, or account management within the mining or related industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals effectively.
- Proficiency and experience working with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and CRM applications.
- Demonstrated ability in leadership, communication skills, and analysis skills
- Experience with generating new leads and maintaining customer relationships.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, plus variable compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
