Account Manager

Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager to join the Medical Communications team. This position is located in our New York, NY office on a hybrid work schedule; three (3) days in office depending on business needs.

Job Overview:

The Account Manager is a key client-facing partner, responsible for building strong client relationships, driving seamless campaign execution, and supporting account growth. Working closely with the Director of Account Management and Sales team, the Account Manager owns the execution of turnkey media programs and supports the delivery of more complex, integrated media campaigns.

The Account Manager brings deep knowledge of pharmaceutical clients, agencies, audiences, and business objectives to align programs with client strategy, maximize campaign performance, and identify opportunities for growth. As a trusted day-to-day partner to clients and internal teams, the Account Manager proactively solves problems, drives accountability, and ensures programs are delivered with quality, precision, and impact.

As a key member of a high-performing, collaborative team, the Account Manager brings initiative, agility, and a continuous-improvement mindset to a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned client accounts and turnkey programs, serving as the primary day-to-day client relationship manager and central point of accountability for successful program execution and client satisfaction.
  • Lead the direct execution of standardized programs following established workflows and ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and within contracted scope and client-specific requirements.
  • Manage turnkey media products, including targeted banner campaigns, newsletters,CPE content marketing programs, and endemic consumer campaigns.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across Sales, Ad Operations, Marketing, Reporting, Finance, and other internal teams, ensuring teams remain aligned to client objectives, and overall client experience.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews across campaign setup and booking, including IO/RIO entry into Salesforce for turnkey products.
  • Regularly monitor campaign performance for established and client-specific KPIs, flagging concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Identify, evaluate, and escalate campaign issues and risks, coordinating cross-functional investigations and driving timely resolutions while keeping clients and leadership informed.
  • Develop strong knowledge of client, agency, industry, brand, and audience priorities, using that understanding to support effective campaign strategy, client communication, and execution.
  • Develop expertise in Haymarket's product suite and audiences, understanding how products and solutions align to client objectives and campaign needs.
  • Additional AdHoc tasks to support the Account maintenance as assigned by the Director of Account Management


Skills and Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of industry experience or related work. Pharma & Digital Media experience ideal
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field of study
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, effectively managing competing priorities, shifting deadlines, and complex, cross-functional workflows while maintaining a high standard of execution.
  • Able to accurately prioritize when competing for internal resources.
  • Agile operational problem-solver who can diagnose challenges and develop actionable recommendations to optimize technical campaign execution.
  • Demonstrates a high level of curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning when facing new challenges.
