Summary

The SPX Aids to Navigation Account Manager will be responsible for the improvement of the organization's market position and achieve financial growth through the active promotion of aviation lighting product(s) and related services. This person defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions and regulatory environment. Account Manager role will be a strategic thinker with proven negotiation skills and will be accountable for delivering measurable results that achieves or exceeds revenue and gross margin targets. This person will be capable of contributing meaningful customer and/or market insights to the sales and marketing functions and will play an integral role in the overall growth of the organization.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Prospects potential customers; qualifies for potential volume and revenue. Establish account sales strategy.
  • Understands sales goals and define strategy to achieve these goals (both short and long term) and to follow the set strategy punctually
  • Manage the proposal development process and maintain time-line for delivery
  • Maintain customer databases, sales and expense reports and keep management informed of accomplishments, problems, new opportunities etc.
  • Support marketing activities including trade/exhibition shows, campaigns, mailings etc.
  • Build and maintain important customer relationships to obtain information on their needs and provide product/service solution covering both routine and advanced request.
  • Negotiate and close business deals
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the Company's product line, engineering and development capabilities, and order management processes.
  • Understands and complies will all company policy and procedures as well as additional legal regulatory requirements.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Initiate sales and marketing strategies and coordinate actions to influence the market
  • Clarify goals and reach agreement maintaining the interest of all parties
  • Proactively develop and improve sales channels, markets and/or customer relationships
  • Possess a technical aptitude and an ability to navigate market verticals including: Airfield, Obstruction, & Marine
  • Understands electrical , electronic and communication technology
  • Organized and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple task
  • Ability to travel and maintain expense records
  • Self-Starter, team player and results oriented
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills, ability to interface from the operational to executive level.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing presentation techniques
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills
