Serves as the
strategic Account Lead for Tier-1/Large Service Provider accounts. You will be responsible for navigating the complex SP landscape, understanding the shift toward
AI-native networking, and driving high-value architectural transformations. Your goal is to position HPE Networking as the backbone of the client's infrastructure while maximizing long-term recurring revenue and margin.
Subject Matter Authority: Acts as a recognized expert in SP technologies (IP/MPLS, 4G/5G Core, AI Data Centers). You don't just follow industry trends; you help set them. You operate autonomously in high-stakes environments, leading cross-functional teams (including Sales Engineering, Product Management, and Executive Leadership) to deliver innovative, multi-year solutions. You exercise expert judgment to align HPE's strategic direction with the evolving needs of the Canadian SP market.Key Responsibilities- Strategic Growth: Develops 3-year account blueprints and a robust pipeline focused on AI-driven automation and high-performance networking.
- Architectural Selling: Leads large-scale, complex deals that integrate HPE's full portfolio, shifting the conversation from "boxes" to consumption-based models and software-defined outcomes.
- C-Suite Influence: Builds deep, consultative relationships with CTOs, COOs, and Network Architects to align HPE's roadmap with their business transformation goals.
- Ecosystem Orchestration: Leverages a diverse partner ecosystem and internal specialists to provide end-to-end solutions, from the Edge to the AI Data Center.
- Advocacy & Resolution: Acts as the "Voice of the Customer" internally, ensuring product roadmaps and support structures evolve to meet the unique "always-on" requirements of Service Providers.
- Operational Excellence: Manages complex global/local account dynamics, ensuring weekly pipeline accuracy and achieving aggressive quarterly/annual revenue and margin targets.
Education and Experience Required- Education: University degree; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
- Experience: Typically 12+ years of high-level enterprise/SP sales experience.
- Proven Track Record: At least 5-7 years specifically managing Tier-1 Service Provider accounts or large-scale telecommunications infrastructure.
- Domain Expertise: Must have deep experience in high-performance networking, AI data center fabrics, and automated operations.
Knowledge and Skills- SP Industry Acumen: Deep understanding of the Service Provider business model, including CAPEX/OPEX constraints, 5G monetization, and the transition to AI-native clouds.
- Financial Engineering: Expert in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and financial-selling techniques to justify large-scale infrastructure investments.
- Negotiation Mastery: Capable of navigating intense procurement cycles and multi-party negotiations while maintaining margin integrity and value positioning.
- Technical Fluency: Ability to lead high-level strategic discussions on AIOps, Network Automation, and Zero Trust security.
- Collaborative Leadership: Excellence in directing "mission-mode" teams across different time zones and business units to close complex, high-visibility deals.

"The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.
- Canada: Annual Salary CAD 227,500 - 455,500 // 227,500 - 455,500 in Ontario
This range reflects the minimum to maximum combined base and target-level sales compensation that would be paid if the hire performs at 100% of their sales plan. Of that on-target pay amount, the mix of base salary and target-level sales compensation is 50%/50%.
