Full Job Description

The Account Manager supports the Banking Practice within Wealth Management and is an integral member of the team, helping enhance existing client relationships and supporting new relationships and contributing to the ultimate success of Wealth Management. The successful candidate will provide the Banking Advisors and lending team with support for a variety of items, including but not limited to, client development and relationship management, coordinate loan documentation and loan closings, conducting due diligence and underwriting for a variety of credit facilities and other related transactions. The Account Manager will manage and drive processes acting as a liaison between the client and team, and assist in monitoring financial covenants and financial reporting, reviewing third party reports and loan documents, and completing ad-hoc assignments.

Account Manager, Banking

Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for coordinating the account administration for Banking clients; responds to client inquiries, produces reports and oversees transaction processing. Also responsible for assisting Private Bankers in business development; creating client presentations and coordinating with the servicing team. Resolves all types of operational or processing issues and help drive additional depository & treasury business with new and existing clients.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Works effectively with Banking Advisors, clients, and in some cases outside legal counsel to coordination the creation and review of legal documents for loan transactions.
  • Possesses and develops deep knowledge of loan documentation and internal protocols regarding loan documentation. Works with other internal departments to efficiently book loans on the system.
  • Oversees development of appropriate action plans for client servicing and coordinates with other team members across disciplines to ensure execution and follow-up.
  • Acts as resource for the relationship servicing team for highly complex WM relationships.
  • Develops clear understanding of clients need behind service requests and communicates to service partners. Obtains appropriate information from partners and clients to facilitate service changes
  • Identifies service efficiency enhancements, process improvements, and service delivery.
  • Work with Lending team to develop understanding of credit underwriting protocols to assist banking team with coordination and review of loan underwriting.
  • Communicates with clients regularly to inform them of account set-up or status, overdrafts, document requests or other information.
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of loan types, services, financial statements and documentation required to monitor client relationships

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience, or equivalent, in financial servicing/accounting fields with client servicing background
  • Knowledge of banking products and services is required
  • Knowledge of internal banking functions. Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills required
