Title: Account Manager

Location: Remote - USA - Nashville, TN or Herndon, VA

Reports to: SVP Group Account Director, Business Development

The Role:

This position supports sales by conducting data analysis, managing resources, and fostering client relationships. It plays a critical role in achieving JD Power automotive sales objectives through effective analytical and client support functions.

The Impact You Will Have in This Role:

Account managers serve as advocates, troubleshooters, and strategic collaborators, playing a pivotal role in driving success and fostering growth for both clients and JD Power alike.

What You'll Be Doing in This Role:
  • Work with Account Executives to keep the Salesforce pipeline organized and current, enabling precise forecasting, accurate revenue reporting, and the identification of white space opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure that new product entry fields in Salesforce are validated for precise reporting.
  • Track and monitor monthly revenue deadlines to help make sure all required information is submitted on time.
  • Support Accounting, and Finance to ensure revenue recognition is correct
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Product/Solution teams to prepare comprehensive RFP responses that foster growth through new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with practice and Account Executives as they prepare statements of work, organize approvals from legal, finance, practice, and other relevant internal departments, support client reviews and negotiations, and ensure all contracts are accurately documented and activated.
  • Assist Account Executives with contract negotiation with business teams, purchasing, and other internal teams
  • Manage daily client communication, responding promptly to all client needs, and provide timely updates for all JD Power products and services
  • Field client questions and gather information from various sources to provide requested information
  • Coordinate, attend and participate in various client meetings
  • Work with all stakeholders to create customized research presentations with client-focused analysis and strategic recommendations
  • Coordinate client presentations and deliver products to clients directly and assist in project management of certain client opportunities
  • Manage client access to JD Power online platforms, deliverables, tools, etc.
  • Coordinate training of clients on how to access and use our various tools and deliverables.
  • Continuously look for and identify ways to standardize the process and reporting across the sales organization and work with appropriate stakeholders to implement change
  • Facilitate collaboration among the Sales, Product, and Solutions teams to optimise processes and effectively communicate client pain points, recommendations, and inquiries. This approach supports continuous improvement of our products and deliverables for clients.
  • Participate in the development, testing, training, and implementation of new tools and systems used by the entire Sales team and throughout the company


Qualifications of this Role:
  • 2-5 years of customer service experience in the automotive industry

This position has a starting salary range of USD$80,000 to $90,000 per year. This is the range we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for the role at the time of posting. An employee's pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
