Position Summary:

The Account Executive is a strategic role responsible for driving business growth through the management of major retail partnerships and the acquisition of new business opportunities. This position focuses on the successful integration, onboarding, and ongoing management of international and cross-border brands into the US wholesale market. You will work closely with Senior Leadership, acting as the primary relationship owner, navigating complex financial modeling and retail operations to ensure high-margin growth and brand authority across North America.

Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000

Responsibilities:

Market Entry & Brand Integration
  • Strategic Onboarding: Lead initial brand discovery meetings to establish context, positioning, and US compliance for incoming international partners.
  • Strategy Formulation: Develop product, merchandising, and distribution landscape mapping to ensure successful US market entry.
  • Financial Modeling: Establish detailed revenue and margin expectations, including wholesale P&L forecasting and margin optimization.
  • Market Insights: Conduct consumer and trend forecasting, competitive analysis, and white space observations to shape localized market strategies.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with merchandising, production, logistics, finance, ecommerce, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on inventory flow, launch timing, pricing strategy, product readiness, and retailer execution.

Key Account Relationship Management
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as the primary point of contact for buyers and planners at major retail or wholesale accounts.
  • Sales Growth: Drive revenue growth and meet sales targets, developing account-specific strategies to increase YoY store sales and margins.
  • Sales Analysis & Support: Prepare regular sales, stock and margin analysis reports while contributing to weekly and monthly business reviews with clear insights and recommended actions. Support forecasting needs and seasonal planning strategies. Monitor in-season performance, replenishment opportunities, and category productivity to identify risks and drive reorder business, margin improvement, and long-term account expansion.
  • Retail Presentation & Storytelling: Build compelling seasonal sell-in presentations supported by consumer insights, competitive positioning, and account-specific merchandising strategies. Present seasonal collections and tailor assortments based on account history, customer demographics, and merchandising strategy.
  • Negotiation: Execute critical vendor negotiations, including pricing, payment terms, and trading agreements.
  • Brand Stewardship & Go To Market Execution: Ensure brand positioning, pricing architecture, assortment strategy, and retail presentation remain consistent with long-term U.S. growth objectives while adapting to account-specific customer needs.

US Wholesale Operations & Execution
  • Compliance Management: Navigate complex US retailer vendor setup, translating stringent routing guides, RFID, and ticketing requirements to protect margins.
  • Order Flow Management: Oversee the full order lifecycle, including item setup, EDI onboarding, and replenishment management.
  • Inventory Planning: Manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) and end-of-season liquidation strategies to protect full-price channels.
  • Analytics & Risk: Provide regular sales reporting and analyze sell-through trends to mitigate risks and resolve administrative chargeback disputes.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising, Sales, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of proven work experience in driving sales and margin growth within a retail or B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, build processes, and operate independently in a fast-paced growth environment. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while driving results with minimal direction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Acrobat. NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the US Department Store landscape and women's apparel production.
  • Operations Expertise: Demonstrated experience with US retailer compliance, EDI onboarding, and vendor setup.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in retail math, P&L forecasting, and margin management.
  • Core Competencies: Highly organized, detail oriented and execution focused with strong communication skills.
  • Existing relationships with key retail partners is required.
