Account Executive - Department of Justice

Location: Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area preferred (Remote within the U.S. available)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret (TS)

About the Role

Agencies using Chainalysis blockchain intelligence have helped seize or freeze more than $34 billion in illicit funds and made thousands of arrests. CGS is seeking a senior Account Executive - Department of Justice to own and expand our DOJ portfolio, putting cutting-edge investigative and intelligence capabilities directly into the hands of federal law enforcement and justice organizations.

In this role, you will serve as the primary consultative seller across the Department of Justice enterprise-including investigative agencies, national security divisions, cyber threat teams, and intelligence components. You will build trusted relationships with mission owners, cyber operators, program executives, and acquisition leaders to address critical risks such as cyber threats, sanctions evasion, hostile-state activity, terrorism financing, and procurement fraud. Supported by dedicated inside sales, technical solutions, and customer success teams, you will lead complex, multi-year federal technology pursuits from discovery to long-term adoption.

In this role, you'll:
  • Territory Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan for the Department of Justice, identifying key agencies, programs, and mission teams where blockchain intelligence addresses critical operational needs.
  • Demand Generation & Education: Educate DOJ stakeholders on applying blockchain data to cyber operations, counter-threat finance, sanctions enforcement, procurement fraud, and transnational threat investigations.
  • Acquisition & Capture Management: Navigate federal law enforcement funding and procurement processes, aligning opportunities with mission priorities, program budgets, contract vehicles, and procurement timelines.
  • Relationship & Champion Building: Cultivate strong relationships across the customer ecosystem-from special agents and analysts to program executives, acquisition officials, and senior agency leadership.
  • Technical Pilots & Demonstrations: Partner with internal technical and solutions teams to design and lead mission-specific demonstrations, capability evaluations, and pilot programs.
  • Solicitations & Partnering: Lead capture strategies for major opportunities, coordinate responses to RFIs/RFPs, and collaborate with systems integrators, prime contractors, and channel partners to maximize access to DOJ programs.
  • Customer Voice & Portfolio Strategy: Serve as the internal voice of the DOJ customer, translating operational feedback into actionable guidance for Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams while maintaining pipeline visibility into deal milestones and projected revenue.
We're looking for candidates who have:
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required at start.
  • U.S. citizenship required (position is not eligible for visa sponsorship).
  • 5+ years of experience in federal technology sales, account management, or business development within the Department of Justice, Intelligence Community, or national security sectors.
  • Proven track record of winning and expanding complex federal technology programs involving multi-stakeholder alignments, long sales cycles, and structured federal procurements.
  • Demonstrated experience selling mission-focused technology, such as data, analytics, cybersecurity, SaaS, or intelligence platforms.
  • Solid familiarity with DOJ missions, organizational structures, budget cycles, and federal law enforcement acquisition channels.
  • High technical credibility, with the ability to engage both operational users and senior executive decision-makers.
  • Strong partner ecosystem experience, including working alongside federal systems integrators, prime contractors, and resellers.
Stands Out:
  • Firsthand operational knowledge of DOJ cyber investigations, intelligence, counter-threat finance, or force-protection missions.
  • Pre-existing relationships with mission owners, program offices, or acquisition leadership across DOJ components.
  • Experience helping government agencies adopt emerging technologies or establish new Programs of Record.
  • Success positioning commercial software through DOJ-accessible contract vehicles, pilot authorities, or partner-led procurements.
  • Professional background in federal law enforcement, military, Intelligence Community, or federal management consulting.
