About The RoleThe Data Solutions team is a start up within G2 that was created in 2022 to sell one of our most strategic and complex solutions. Traditionally, we've sold our Data Solutions product into Investors (Private Equity, Venture Capitalists, Hedge Funds, Investment Banks, etc.), but we have recently started to have success with selling to Software Vendors (SaaS Partners) as well. As one of the founding Account Executives, you will help us to build and grow our go-to-market motion to these customers.
We are seeking an Account Executive to join the team and help us continue to expand this area of our business. In this high-impact, quota-carrying role, you will be able to close large complex deals with these customers. As this is a growing team, someone who is excited about doing their own pipeline building and outreach will thrive. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has previous experience building out a new sales team! We are looking for someone with this experience to bring in new ideas as we continue to scale.
In This Role, You Will: - Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
- Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to drive new logo acquisition across a targeted book of investors and software vendors
- Build CxO and Operating Partner-level relationships, becoming a trusted advisor to key decision-makers in Research, Business Development, Product, and Procurement
- Translate complex customer challenges into actionable, data-driven solutions using G2's proprietary insights
- Shape deal strategy, pricing, and commercial models to meet revenue goals and customer needs
- Collaborate closely with Partnerships, cross LOB account teams, Product, Account Managers and Solution Consulting to deliver a seamless buyer experience and accelerate time-to-value
- Accurately forecast pipeline, opportunity stages, and closed-won revenue using Salesforce and other sales analytics tools
- Contribute feedback to G2 product and GTM teams to inform roadmap and positioning based on customer feedback

- 2+ years of quota-carrying experience selling Data, SaaS, or Enterprise Consulting services
- Experience in or excitement for building out a new team
- Proven track record of closing 6-and 7-figure deals with strategic decision-makers
- Deep familiarity with the needs and buying behaviors of private equity firms, venture capital, analyst firms, and/or B2B software
- Comfortable navigating C-suite conversations, particularly with Operating Partners and GTM leaders
- Strong consultative selling skills and a data-driven mindset
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
