A Taste of What You'll Do
As an Account Executive - Customer Development, you will drive profitable growth across assigned customer accounts while representing one of the most recognized portfolios in the wine and spirits industry. In this role, you will build strong relationships with customers, distributor partners, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop strategic plans, and execute initiatives that grow both Gallo brands and customer businesses.
You will leverage market insights, sales performance data, and category trends to develop business strategies that increase distribution, improve execution, and maximize growth opportunities across brick-and-mortar, e-commerce, and digital channels. Through collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams, you will create joint business plans, influence decision-making, and secure new item placements that strengthen category leadership.
Success in this role requires strong business acumen, relationship-building skills, and a passion for driving results. What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated or Non-affiliated Distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of CPG sales/account management, retail sales/account management, or corporate business development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated or Non-affiliated Distributor Sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of CPG sales/account management, retail sales/account management, or corporate business development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
- Required to be 21 years of age or older.
- Required to obtain Liquor License as required by state/locality.
- Required to travel by air and automobile up to 50% during the course of business.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
How You'll Stand Out
- Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales or customer development experience to include a prior rotation as a Business Development Manager, Market Development Manager Sr, or Account Manager 2; OR Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of external alcohol sales experience to include account management experience.
- Gallo account management or project analyst experience.
- Skilled in communication, project management and analysis.
- Experience completing assignments that are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.
