This role centers on generating net-new business through proactive outbound sales and consultative relationship-building with key stakeholders across the transportation and automotive ecosystem. The position requires extensive travel across Ontario, Quebec, and other Canadian markets to meet customers, attend auctions and industry events, and represent the company in the field. The Account Executive serves as a trusted advisor, recommending tailored logistics solutions that address complex transportation challenges while consistently achieving ambitious revenue and margin goals.
Responsibilities- Drive revenue growth and expand brokerage business within the remarketed vehicle sales channel, focusing on developing the Montreal market and additional regions across Canada.
- Generate new business through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, cold calling, customer visits, and participation in industry events, guided by a strategic territory plan that prioritizes high-value opportunities.
- Travel extensively, at least 70% of the time, throughout Ontario, Quebec, and other Canadian markets to build strong customer relationships and represent the company at auctions, industry meetings, trade shows, and customer events.
- Build executive-level relationships with auction leadership, dealer principals, fleet managers, rental organizations, remarketing companies, and other key decision makers.
- Identify and pursue occasional OEM operations opportunities in addition to primary remarketed sales activity.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers including auction partners, large dealer groups, and large car rental companies, ensuring responsive and professional communication.
- Develop account growth strategies to increase shipment volume and wallet share within existing customers, including conducting regular business reviews with key accounts.
- Establish trusted advisor relationships by understanding each customer's transportation and logistics challenges and recommending customized solutions through a consultative sales approach.
- Negotiate effectively with customers and carriers to secure desirable and profitable business for the company.
- Research, develop, and communicate competitive pricing to current and prospective customers to win new business and retain existing accounts.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date pipeline of customer activities, forecasts, and opportunities in Salesforce or other CRM platforms, ensuring timely follow-up on every open opportunity.
- Enter all sales orders into the company system with a high level of accuracy and completeness to support smooth operational execution.
- Partner closely with Operations, Carrier Relations, Pricing, and Account Management teams to deliver an excellent end-to-end customer experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve service issues effectively and professionally, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address and prevent future problems.
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue, margin, and activity targets.
- Ensure all decisions and personal actions contribute to an open, friendly, and professional work environment.
Essential Skills- Minimum 2+ years of outbound sales and business development experience, with a proven track record of generating net-new business and winning new accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to build and grow customer relationships, with a strong customer-focused mentality and consultative sales approach.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, trucking, supply chain, or closely related industries.
- Comfort with approximately 70% travel for customer, dealer, auction, and business development meetings across Ontario, Quebec, and other Canadian markets.
- Fully bilingual in English and French, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Tech-savvy, with hands-on experience using CRM platforms for managing pipelines, activities, and customer data (Salesforce experience preferred but not strictly required).
- Strong sales, customer service, and business development capabilities, including outbound calling and prospecting.
- Ability to manage a sales territory strategically, prioritize high-potential opportunities, and work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Solid negotiation skills with customers and carriers, focused on securing profitable and sustainable business.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when entering sales orders and maintaining CRM records.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools for tracking opportunities, activities, and forecasts.
- Direct trucking industry experience, including familiarity with carrier networks and transportation operations.
- 3PL or 4PL sales experience, particularly in transportation-focused organizations.
- Exposure to auto dealer networks, auctions, and rental car organizations.
- Experience working with financial institutions on repossessions or related transportation services.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to represent the company effectively at trade shows, industry meetings, and auctions.
- Ability to conduct regular business reviews with key accounts and develop strategic account growth plans.
- Comfort operating in a performance-driven environment with commission-based incentives tied to revenue and margin results.
Work EnvironmentThis is a permanent role within a growing organization that is expanding further into the Canadian market, offering a performance-driven compensation structure with significant commission potential based on results. The position involves approximately 70% travel, primarily for customer, dealer, auction, and business development meetings across Ontario, Quebec, and other regions. During the initial training period, you will spend about three days per week onsite to learn systems, processes, and product offerings while building relationships with internal teams. You will work closely with Operations, Carrier Relations, Pricing, and Account Management in a collaborative, open, and professional environment that values teamwork, customer focus, and continuous growth. The role is field-oriented and fast-paced, with frequent visits to auctions, customer facilities, and industry events, and requires comfort with using technology and CRM platforms as part of daily work.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
