Full Job Description
Job Title:- Account Director

Work Type:- Full-Time

Work Mode:- Hybrid

Tru Inc. is hiring an Account Director for an immediate permanent opportunity. Candidates with strong potential but less direct senior-level experience may be considered at the Account Manager level, with scope and compensation aligned accordingly.

Position Overview:-

The Account Director owns the full client lifecycle for a $3M to $5M account portfolio, serving as an executive advisor to clients and a strategic partner to internal teams. This role leads digital growth strategies across CRM, marketing automation, commerce, analytics, and related enterprise platforms.

Location:-

This is a hybrid role with some work-from-home flexibility. Preference will be given to candidates in the Greater Toronto Area, as the role follows a three-day-per-week in-office schedule to support collaboration, workshops, and client engagement. Travel to client and partner offices is required.

Core Responsibilities:-
  • Portfolio Management: Own and grow 6-8 high-value client relationships, maintaining a $3M to $5M portfolio benchmark while managing budgets, contracts, invoicing, performance, satisfaction, and escalations.
  • Executive Advisory & Alignment: Build trusted relationships with C-suite and executive stakeholders by translating business priorities into actionable digital transformation plans.
  • Strategic Lifecycle Planning: Lead Quarterly Business Reviews and develop multi-year marketing and technology roadmaps aligned to measurable client outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Delivery: Partner with engineering, marketing, and delivery teams to define scope, milestones, budgets, and timelines.
  • Commercial Growth: Collaborate with Business Development and Client Services leadership to shape proposals, expand accounts, and prioritize profitable growth opportunities.
  • Operational Discipline: Maintain CRM accuracy and pipeline health in HubSpot to support transparent reporting, resource forecasting, and account risk management.

Technical Platform Ecosystem:-

The Account Director should bring strong conceptual and architectural awareness of enterprise technology platforms to guide client roadmaps across these areas:
  • Enterprise CRM & Automation: Use Salesforce and related platforms to improve lead generation, audience data management, engagement tracking, and pipeline efficiency.
  • Digital Experience & Content: Advise on Adobe Experience Cloud and CMS initiatives that create consistent customer experiences across web, mobile, and digital channels.
  • Composable Commerce: Guide API-first and headless commerce strategies, including CommerceTools, to support flexible and scalable digital storefronts.
  • Data Analytics & Insights: Use analytics platforms, including Google Analytics, to track performance, build reporting models, and recommend data-backed optimizations.

What You'll Bring:-
  • Professional Experience: 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in strategic account management, technology consulting, digital marketing, or enterprise agency environments.
  • Technical Fluency: Experience managing enterprise-scale web applications, cloud solutions, systems integrations, or digital platforms.
  • Executive Communication: Strong business analysis, storytelling, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills for senior and C-suite audiences.
  • Client Advocacy: Ability to navigate matrixed client organizations and turn ambiguous requirements into structured delivery plans.
  • Solution Orientation: A results-driven mindset focused on delivering value, strengthening client relationships, and exceeding expectations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Salary Range:- $100,000- $120,000
