Full Job Description
About the Role

The Account Director is a client management team role responsible for managing day-to-day account operations, building trusted relationships, and ensuring the agency delivers work that meets both brand and business objectives. As a trusted advisor to clients, the agency team, and cross-functional partners, this individual immerses themselves in the brand, developing a deep understanding of brand strategy and translating it into recommendations that are aligned with the brand's vision and grounded in the agency's point of view.

This individual serves as a key connector between client priorities and the work produced across creative, medical, digital, and analytics disciplines, ensuring alignment, quality, and follow-through on execution. The Account Director partners closely with senior account leadership on complex or executive-level client relationships, while independently owning the brand foundation and day-to-day account management.

Success in this role requires strong client management instincts, sound financial acumen, and the curiosity and energy to bring fresh thinking to every client interaction.

What You'll Do
  • Manage client relationships, expectations, and deliverables day to day, ensuring client satisfaction, accountability, and successful project outcomes.
  • Learn and apply the full breadth of agency offerings to bring value to the client, serving as an invaluable partner to senior leadership on senior-level client relationships.
  • Review creative work to ensure it is on-strategy and meets client expectations, offering clear, constructive recommendations to the team.
  • Stay ahead of competitive trends, industry shifts, and client research to deliver forward-thinking points of view to clients.
  • Monitor monthly and quarterly financials, forecasts, and budgets, partnering with senior account leads to help the team achieve financial targets and milestones.
  • Foster strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal connection within the team and across departments.
  • Contribute to new business efforts, including attending and participating in pitches.
  • Proactively grow and retain talent at the agency by managing and mentoring team members.

What You'll Need
  • 8+ years of experience in advertising, with HCP advertising and digital marketing experience preferred.
  • Experienced presenter, able to command a room with both small and large groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience developing and delivering strategic and tactical plans.
  • Strong client engagement skills, including proactive communication, meeting management, presentation development and delivery, and responsiveness to questions and issues.
  • Solid financial management skills, including experience with project budgets, financial reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly), and annual SOWs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and departments.
