About the RoleWe have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Account Director to join one of our teams at Ashfield MedComms. As Account Director, you'll serve as a senior client lead, providing strategic and operational leadership across a high-profile commercial account.
You'll partner closely with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated communications programs that support brand and business objectives. Bringing strategic thinking, strong client leadership, and operational expertise, you'll ensure programs are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead a complex commercial account, providing strategic direction and ensuring consistent delivery excellence.
- Serve as a trusted client partner, building strong relationships and providing proactive, solutions-focused counsel.
- Oversee the development and delivery of integrated commercial communications programs across multiple channels and tactics.
- Partner with Creative, Digital, Scientific, and other cross-functional teams to develop solutions aligned with client and brand objectives.
- Lead project teams from planning through execution, ensuring quality, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations are effectively managed.
- Provide strong financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability, invoicing, and SOW development.
- Anticipate account needs, identify risks, and proactively resolve challenges to keep programs moving forward.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client partnerships and support organic account growth.
- Lead, coach, and develop Client Services team members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Support new business opportunities through proposal development, presentations, and pitches.
About You- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 6+ years of experience in healthcare communications, advertising, or a related agency environment, with experience supporting commercial pharmaceutical or healthcare accounts.
- Strong understanding of integrated commercial communications and experience delivering programs across multiple channels.
- Proven success in client relationship management, strategic consultation, and account growth.
- Experience leading teams and developing Client Services colleagues.
- Strong project and financial management skills, including budgets, forecasting, profitability, and SOW development.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Comfortable working across multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. $110,000-$130,000 USD
