Join UChicago Medicine as an Acceleration Manager.

The Acceleration Manager is a key member of the Clinical Performance Acceleration (CPA) team and is responsible for the alignment and advancement of efforts across the CPA portfolio. Working closely with clinical and operational teams, the Manager will advance implementation of innovations that aim to achieve clinical excellence throughout the system. In partnership with and in support of the Performance Acceleration Leads, this role will have a line of sight into creation of infrastructure and capabilities within clinical departments and services lines throughout the institution. This will provide an opportunity to proactively identify novel approaches to cultivating synergy to amplify the impact of improvement efforts at scale.

Primary Job Functions:
  • Oversees implementation and performance metrics to advance and evaluate progress across the CPA portfolio.
  • Responsible for developing and overseeing progress reports and holding teams accountable to advancing milestones and escalating barriers.
  • Establishes and executes effective and efficient communication mechanisms which enable continuous exchange of ideas, information, and program developments among team members and across organizational leaders.
  • Leads development and use of appropriate project infrastructure, tools, and/or methods necessary to communicate and coordinate project detail and status.
  • Accelerates the implementation of innovations and improvement efforts through rapid-cycle change, in close partnership with clinical and operational leaders.
  • Continuously examines ways to improve collaboration and alignment within and across areas of the organization to enhance impact on clinical performance.
  • Acts as a liaison to the Office of Clinical Excellence to enhance leveraging of institutional resources to advance departmental and service line goals.
  • Leads collaboratives and strategic implementation partnerships across the UCM system.Responsible for ongoing measurement and feedback of the implementation and impact of key partnerships and initiatives.
  • Seeks ways to match employee talents and career interests with organizational opportunities.
  • Leads active dissemination of lessons learned vertically through a clinical unit and engages horizontally across the organization
  • Leads efforts to amplify lessons learns and exemplary performance within the health system.


Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience with project management and/or data analysis experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task various responsibilities
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel experience required) and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, able to plan and organize tasks across multiple projects, and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong storyboarding and slide writing skills (strong PowerPoint skills)
  • Functions well in an ambiguous environment
  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with demonstrated ability to understand complex drivers related to patient care
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across UCM and outside organizations
  • Excellent coordination, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage, interpret, and present data accurately and for action


Preferred:
  • Familiarity with basic program evaluation concepts
  • Experience with scholarly writing (peer-reviewed)
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role
