Ab Initio ETL Developer with strong expertise in data engineering, ETL development, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Ab Initio tools, Python-based data processing, and working with large-scale datasets in an enterprise environment, preferably within financial services
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum 6 years of experience in Ab Initio development
- Strong expertise in ETL design and development using Ab Initio tools
- Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering tasks
- Experience working with Oracle or other relational databases
- Proven expertise in performance tuning and optimization
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts
- Experience in financial services domain (mandatory)
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Basic awareness or working knowledge of AI tools and technologies
Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio (GDE, Co-Operating System, and EME)
- Develop and implement conductors, vectors, and metaprogramming techniques
- Work on PDL, resource pool management, and dynamic lookups
- Build scalable data pipelines using Python for data processing and automation
- Perform data modeling, database design, and performance tuning
- Work extensively with large datasets in Oracle or other relational databases
- Optimize Ab Initio graphs for performance and efficiency
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high-quality deliverables
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate data requirements
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards
