We are seeking a highly motivated
A5F F-35 Interoperability and Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our USAF HQ ACC contract on Langley AFB, VA. The primary purpose of the
F-35 Interoperability and Training SME is in support of HQ ACC/A5F F-35 System Management Office (SMO). This individual reports directly to the Operations Branch Chief, ACC/A5FO at HQ ACC/A5F and is aligned under the ACC/A5 Requirements Directorate.
Responsibilities- Provide technical and analytical support to track and analyze trends, user requirements, and other key issues and assist in development of critical documentation to support system resource requirements.
- Assist HQ ACC in the management, execution, planning, programming, and staffing actions associated with the F-35 program.
- Provide program continuity, technical and analytical assistance in the preparation and presentation of background papers, briefings, General Officer (GO) correspondence, and other responses to requests for information (RFI) on F-35 program-related issues to include operational requirements.
- Provide SME support and represent HQ ACC/A5F for USAF F-35 Interoperability and Training issues and requirements. Responsible for reviewing and providing inputs to acquisition program requirements and documentation, such as the Operational Requirements Document (ORD), Capability Development Document (CDD), Capability Production Document (CPD), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), and other documents including Concept of Operations (CONOPS), to ensure HQ ACC C2 integration requirements are addressed.
- Manage and prepare budgets and briefings used during the Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) cycle.
- Support to the Senior Warfighter's Group (SWG) representative for the USAF.
- Provides SME support on the employment of the F-35 for the Operating Forces of the USAF.
- Represent ACC/A5F on various ACC and F-35 working groups and programs, including F- 35 Interoperability, F-35 Communications, Navigation, Identification (CNI), F-35 Training Systems and Simulation, and select F-35 weapons and sensors working groups working groups, sub-groups, and IPTs.
- Act on behalf of ACC at specified F-35 meetings.
- SME for all USAF F-35 communications, navigation, and Identification requirements.
- Analyze and coordinate requirements for CNI system modernization including but not limited to Line of Sight (LOS), Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) datalinks, voice, communications, Embedded GPS/INS, and Identification Friend of Foe (IFF) systems.
- Conduct analysis to identify interoperability issues with all Ground and Air C2, and Information Exchange Communications Segments.
- Analyze C2ISR requirements being proposed for integration into emerging USAF communications architectures to support operational kill chains and resolve any interoperability issues.
- SME for all USAF F-35 training systems requirements.
- Analyze and coordinate requirements for F-35 pilot simulator modernization and fielding including but not limited to Full Mission Simulators (FMS), Modified Mission Readiness Trainers (MMRT), Joint Simulation Environment Operations Enclaves (JOE), Effects-based simulators and Distributed Mission Operations Network connectivity.
- Analyze and coordinate requirements for F-35 aircraft training systems modernization and fielding including but not limited to Embedded Training, Air Combat Maneuver Instrumentation (ACMI), and Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) integration.
- Provide analysis support for operational test (OT) requirements to include Joint Simulation Environment accreditation.
- Analyze and coordinate requirements for select post-Block 3F, Block 4, and future F-35 weapons and sensor systems.
- Analyze and coordinate prioritization of aircraft and simulator deficiencies to address capability shortfalls.
Requirements - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- Three (3) years' experience on USAF MAJCOM or higher Air Force level staff (combination of active duty, Government service, or Contractor) in operations, or working specific program or subject area of the specific A5/8/9 mission area being tasked
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience
- Top Secret clearance, SCI and SAP-eligible, Rated
- Travel: Requires frequent travel within the Contiguous United States (CONUS) and occasionally Outside the Contiguous United States (OCONUS).
Schedule - Core hours are from 0800-1700 M-F - you can work with your customer leadership to set hours
- You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments
- A compressed work schedule may be available at the discretion of work center leadership (i.e. 4/10 or 9/80)
