Full Job Description
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead program planning and execution, developing and maintaining integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, work-back plans, dependencies, and resource assumptions.
  • Drive cross-functional delivery across Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, software, hardware, quality, and other technical teams to ensure alignment with program objectives.
  • Facilitate planning and governance sessions to define scope, deliverables, sequencing, priorities, key decisions, and delivery commitments.
  • Monitor project performance and execution, identifying schedule variance, constraints, dependencies, and resource issues while coordinating mitigation and recovery actions.
  • Facilitate Agile/Scrum and hybrid project-management processes, including backlog, sprint/release planning, prioritization, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish effective team operating practices that promote transparency, accountability, communication, and predictable delivery across workstreams.
  • Manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and changes, coordinating impact assessments, mitigation plans, escalations, and resolution through completion.
  • Coordinate cross-project interfaces and stakeholder communication, documenting decisions, assumptions, action items, and rationale while escalating issues requiring leadership direction.
  • Develop leadership-ready reporting and project analytics, including dashboards, status reports, action/decision logs, milestone tracking, and planned-versus-actual performance.
  • Support supplier, resource, and financial management, including work-package definition, supplier performance tracking, effort/budget inputs, contractor planning, knowledge transfer, and project transition activities.


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of technical project or program management experience supporting product development, engineering, software, or technology programs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience applying them in practice.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, communication, and meeting-facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical subject-matter experts while translating discussions into actionable plans and documented outcomes.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering, product line engineering, systems integration, verification planning, requirements management, and digital/model-based engineering practices.
  • Experience with tools such as Airtable, Cameo, MagicDraw, DOORS/IBM ELM, Windchill, Jira, Confluence, Tasktop, or comparable systems engineering and collaboration platforms.
  • Experience supporting hardware, embedded software, digital/cloud products, engineering platforms, or IT systems, including EVMS and structured financial/project performance reporting.
  • Experience in medical devices, life sciences, or other regulated product-development environments; PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or comparable certification preferred.

This position allows for a hybrid setup. Qualified candidates must be able to travel to Alameda, CA on a quarterly basis, at minimum.

The actual salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, market demand, and competitive market practice. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
