Full Job Description
Contingent on contract award.

Axyde Analytics is building a candidate pipeline for anticipated full-time software development support to the U.S. Air Force C2 Simulation Environment for Training Modernization & Sustainment (C2SET) program. Employment is contingent on Axyde receiving the award, final Government requirements, funding, and candidate approval and access.

Work arrangement

This is a hybrid, partially work-from-home position anchored to the Florida location shown in this posting. The selected candidate must be within practical commuting distance and available for on-site work at Government or contractor facilities when mission, security, integration, testing, or exercise support requires it. The final work location and schedule will be confirmed after award.

Core responsibilities
  • Design, develop, integrate, test, troubleshoot, document, and maintain software supporting Air Force command-and-control training and simulation.
  • Support both legacy-system sustainment and modernized software development, including defect correction, enhancements, refactoring, interfaces, builds, releases, and technical-debt reduction.
  • Use source control and disciplined software-engineering practices to deliver traceable, tested changes.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, regression, and system tests; diagnose failures and document evidence.
  • Work with engineers, operators, cybersecurity personnel, testers, and Government stakeholders in an Agile/DevSecOps environment.
  • Support scheduled integration and exercise events, including occasional on-site or after-hours work when authorized.

Required qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Professional software-development experience covering design, coding, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production or mission software.
  • Experience maintaining existing code while delivering new or modernized capability.
  • Experience with source control, code review, build and release processes, and software testing.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, document technical work, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain at least a U.S. Government Secret security clearance and satisfy Government facility, system, and access requirements.

Preferred qualifications
  • Current active Secret clearance or higher.
  • Experience with U.S. Air Force command-and-control, air-operations, training, modeling, or simulation systems.
  • Experience with C2SET, AFMSTT, AOC, ASCCE, distributed simulation, or federation standards and interfaces.
  • Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift, cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience with automated regression testing, cybersecurity/RMF controls, technical data packages, fielding, and operational support.
  • Security+, Linux+, cloud, Kubernetes, software-development, or related technical certification.
