Job Title: 2027 Spring Co-op Bioinformatics

About the JobThe co-op will have the opportunity to directly work with the scientists on well-defined research projects in Neurology during the program period, to have a first-hand exposure to understanding disease mechanisms and drug discovery process. They will participate in experiment design and planning with the group ,and execute a range of computational analyses using state of the art methods. The candidate will collect, analyze and visualize experiment data, and will interpret and discuss the results with the group.
Main Responsibilities- Perform cross disorder single cell RNAseq analyses of human AD, ALS, PD and MS data sets.
- Support Neurology TA efforts in organizing omics data on Sanofi's cloud computing infrastructure to improve metadata structure, governance, security, and long-term manageability.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, providing insights to the research team.
- Maintain meticulous records of analyses.
About youBasic Qualifications:- Master's/ PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Neuroscience, Immunology, Biology, or related field.
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the Internal requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co-op/internship.
- Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday to Friday for the full duration of the co-op/internship.
Preferred Qualifications:- Strong hands-on experience on analyzing single cell and spatial omics neurodegeneration data sets.
- Proficiency with Unix/R/Python.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Candidates must be qualified for Sanofi US 2026 early talent or university hire programs and complied with related program policies.
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
- Knowledge of statistical methods used in analyzing omics data sets.
- Experience with analyzing CRISPR perturbation data sets
- Demonstrated success in a research setting.

CompensationThe salary range for this position is
$45 -$57 hourly. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
