Full Job Description
As a Global Product Support (GPS) Engineer, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers and management to support customer issues, fleet performance activities, and product improvement programs. You will receive regular direction in setting work priorities, managing multiple assignments, and determining appropriate actions to address customer and technical issues. Through participation in troubleshooting activities, improvement projects, and customer support programs, you will build technical expertise and gain experience supporting both customer and internal business objectives.

  • Serve as the primary technical support resource for assigned customer accounts, supporting escalations, fleet performance activities, system installations, upgrades, and product improvement programs.
  • Act as a key liaison between customers, field teams, and engineering organizations, providing technical guidance and documentation to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment.
  • Support Alpha Site activities by assisting Engineering with the installation, operation, calibration, testing, and validation of new hardware, software, and process designs in development and laboratory environments.
  • Support Beta Site deployments by facilitating the installation, operation, calibration, testing, and validation of new hardware, software, and process enhancements in customer production environments.
  • Participate in Engineering Change Order (ECO) reviews to ensure proposed solutions are supported by technical data, validated for implementation, and effectively communicated to field organizations.
  • Generate, analyze, and present system performance data, including key reliability and availability metrics such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time Between Interruptions (MTBI), and system availability.
  • Support reporting and analysis of process performance, fleet reliability trends, and inventory/warehouse (I/W) spending to drive operational improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including Customer Engineering Notices (CENs), Best Known Methods (BKMs), support plans, upgrade documentation, and implementation guides.
  • Present technical findings, recommendations, and improvement plans to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Support, and Field Service teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of technical improvements and system upgrades.


Education
  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize work in a dynamic customer support environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with semiconductor capital equipment, field service, technical support, or manufacturing operations is a plus

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
