Job Summary At this time, only current PSEG employees are being considered. This position will manage the planning and sourcing of procurement activities for materials and services in the most effective manner, while providing strategic value to the lines of business that it supports.
Job Responsibilities- Lead and develop the Procurement Operations team responsible for purchasing parts, materials, and services that support safe and reliable nuclear plant operations.
- Oversee day-to-day sourcing activity to ensure timely delivery of critical items, including emergent plant needs and scheduled work.
- Coordinate Procurement support for refueling outages and major maintenance events, ensuring resources, suppliers, and materials are aligned with outage plans.
- Manage workload prioritization across the buying team to meet operational, regulatory, and budget requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to support performance, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery metrics, and issue resolution, escalating concerns as needed.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations to ensure accurate specifications and seamless execution.
- Ensure procurement activities follow nuclear industry regulations, site procedures, and corporate policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, tools, and sourcing outcomes, contributing to longer-term strategic sourcing initiatives.
Job Specific Qualifications- Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management or Contract Management experience.
- Must meet and maintain nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.
Desired- Demonstrated team management abilities: experience with hiring assessing and developing a team of employees.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS, JD)
- Professional Certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPSD, PMP)
- Continuous Improvement (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)
