Provides Compensation and Benefits leadership and analytical support to the Senior Manager, Global Rewards.

Detailed Description

Provides overall support to the HR Senior Manager, Global Rewards across the entire HR portfolio of HR Global programs and initiatives. This role is part of the global HR Compensation and Benefits(C&B) Center of Excellence (COE). Responsibilities include the following:
  • Act as a primary contact for HR Managers for applicable global compensation and benefits issues. This includes but is not limited to: procedural instruction, analytical counsel, advise and resolution for all matters across all applicable Global Reward programs.
  • Manage Celestica's global broad based and function/site specific incentive programs. Responsibilities include: i) reviewing and updating incentive plan designs and employee communication materials, ii) partnering with internal stakeholders including Finance, HR Business Partners and Legal to determine metrics, targets and maintain/update plan documents, and iii) respond to and resolve any employee queries, issues, etc.
  • Participate in the Company's annual compensation and benefits external benchmarking exercise. Provide detailed information including: position descriptions, compensation data, etc. to external vendors in a timely and accurate manner. Analyze and interpret results including market trends, changes, economic indicators, etc. Prepare recommendations for annual Compensation Planning for Senior Leadership decision making.
  • Support the annual compensation planning process. There will be extensive interaction with regional HR Business Partners and regional Compensation & Benefits primes. Complete annual merit recommendations, manager planning merit grids, and update country salary band ranges.
  • Complete regular job evaluations and associated compensation recommendations for executive and director level promotions, internal transfers and new hires on a global basis. Prepare associated offer letters as required.
  • Provide recommendations and offer letters for one-time retention and special bonus awards.
  • Provide analytical support to the broader total Global Rewards team.
  • Provide analysis and support for Celestica's long-term incentive plans as required.
  • Provide ongoing support for various special projects and initiatives including: Career Frameworks and Merger & Acquisition activity.
  • Support the HR C&B leaders, finance and legal with various analysis related to Celestica's annual Proxy/20F filing requirements. Provide timely and accurate compensation information and analysis for Named Executive Officers.
  • Partner and build relationships with key stakeholders in other teams including HR, Finance, Legal, Communications, Business Leaders and external vendors.
  • Potentially be involved in completing audit requirements in conjunction with finance, external auditors, related to HR programs.
  • Deal with urgent employee issues in a timely and professional manner.


Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Strong analytical, data modelling skills and experience. Ability to work with and synthesize large volumes of financial data with a very high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understand financial metrics, definitions, calculations and how certain metrics can be included in incentive plan design.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Able to present and communicate ideas and facts in a clear and articulate manner
  • Able to effectively work with a wide variety of customers, cross-functional collaborations, as well as leveraging external vendors/partners.
  • Working knowledge of HR compensation and benefits programs, policies and practices.
  • Strong project management skills. Able to evaluate, manage and prioritize multiple highly complex and detailed tasks and projects at any given time.
  • Ability to manage workload across various time zones including Americas, Europe and Asia.
  • Able to manage sensitive employee information in a confidential manner.
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Visio.


Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are generally performed in good working conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.


Salary

The stated range includes Base Salary and target Celestica Team Incentive (CTI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.

Salary Range: $ 97750 to 138000 CAD

Typical Experience

  • Six to eight years of relevant experience in an HR, Finance or related field.
