Point Park University is a private university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1960 as Point Park Junior College, and it became Point Park College in 1966. In 2003, it was granted university status by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Point Park University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in more than 100 areas of study. The university has four schools: the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business, the School of Communication, and the School of Education. The university's campus is located in downtown Pittsburgh, and it has a total enrollment of approximately 4,000 students.
