Do you know how Intel got its name? 49 years ago today, Noyce Moore Electronics was founded by Robert N. Noyce and Gordon Moore. They wanted something that would represent the technology field and the nature of the company. ''Integrated Electronics'' was an option they considered, but the name had already been taken. They took the first syllable of each word to form ''Intel.''
