Haivision delivers video networking, digital signage, and IP video distribution solutions. The companys products are used for streaming, recording, managing, and delivering video. Haivision is based in Montreal and Chicago and currently has more than 200 employees worldwide. Haivision was founded in 2004. Haivision’s early technology created high performance video encoders that made it possible to transmit low-latency video over all types of networks. In 2009, Haivision acquired Video Furnace, allowing the company to expand its product offerings to include campus (LAN) based, secure IPTV and VOD services. Haivision purchased CoolSign in 2010, which provides highly scalable digital signage. The ability to encode and transcode technologies for OTT (over-the-top) media distribution resulted from Haivisions acquisition of Kulabyte Corporation in 2011.
