The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing and treating pediatric HIV/AIDS. The foundation was established in 1988 by Elizabeth Glaser, who contracted HIV through a blood transfusion during the birth of her daughter Ariel. After Ariel and her son Jake were also diagnosed with HIV, Glaser became an advocate for pediatric HIV/AIDS research and treatment. The foundation has since become a global leader in the fight against pediatric HIV/AIDS, providing funding and technical assistance to programs in over 19 countries. The foundation's work has helped to reduce the number of new pediatric HIV infections by 95% since 2000.
