The College of the Holy Cross is a private liberal arts college in Worcester, Massachusetts. Founded in 1843, Holy Cross is the oldest Catholic college in New England and one of the oldest in the United States. The college is known for its rigorous academic curriculum, its Catholic intellectual and cultural traditions, and its athletic teams, which compete in Division I of the NCAA. Holy Cross offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in over 30 majors, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching degree.
