Job Description

The Division of Hematology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking a physician with clinical/research focus on chronic lymphoproliferative neoplasms, particularly chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL). The CLL Disease Team at Mayo Clinic in Rochester consists of five physicians, two advanced practice providers and two research scientists who dedicate their clinical and research efforts in improving the outcomes of patients with chronic lymphoproliferative neoplasms. The CLL Disease Team is a an integral part of the Lymphoid Malignancies Disease Group of the NCI accredited Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center, with major initiatives to integrate the Mayo Clinic shields of practice, research, and education across all Mayo Clinic sites (including in Rochester, Arizona, and Florida), in addition to Mayo Clinic Health Systems.

The CLL Disease Team is looking for a suitable candidate to be actively involved in a CLL/SLL-specific clinical practice, lead clinical trials and be an active participant in advancing the practice, clinical research and education of trainees (including medical students, residents and fellows). The position will involve a balance between hospital service and outpatient clinic-based patient care, with protected time for research. The CLL Disease Team in Rochester, MN has a robust Clinical Database in addition to a well-annotated Tissue Bank that are seamlessly integrated. Additionally, there is significant translational and basic science work being carried out by the team with significant opportunities for intra- and extramural funding. It is anticipated that the ideal candidate will be able to leverage support from these resources to advance their career development.
