In recent years, the creativity and skills of mechanical engineers have been aided by increasingly sophisticated computer-aided engineering (CAE), which many feel has broadened the scope of possibilities within the field. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, ideally a related master’s and licensing.
