Zone Transportation Manager

The Zone Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing distributionoperations at distribution locations. This position is located in Irving,TX and reports to the Vice President of Transportation Operations.

The Zone Transportation Manager
Foster safe working environment and work with drivers and peers to maintainsafety standards in the field.
Facilitate and maintain all driver training files.
Responsible for the safe and efficient distribution of products.
Distribution locations.
Ensure all drivers and equipment complies with regulations published by theDepartment of Transportation.
Oversee equipment maintenance to maximize utilization and life expectancy.
Accountable for Distribution Manager activities such as managing all parts,fuel, and material purchasing and inventory tracking.
Responsible for overseeing and auditing weekly driver payroll.
Maintain and forecast direct and third party carrier costs.
Work cooperatively with the Logistics Center to ensure the highest level ofcustomer service to our customers.
Research service and safety issues and participate in the root cause analysis.

Qualifications
Must be able to work in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment.
Must be computer literate and have experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, andOutlook.

Previous transportation experience is required.

Salary
Salary is $120,000 - $130,000 annually based on qualifications and experience.
