Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality diagnostic films through precise patient positioning and exposure factor selection.
  • Administer contrast media and medications, monitor for abnormal reactions, and adhere to radiation safety protocols.
  • Ensure images sent to PACS are high-quality, properly labeled, and contain correct patient data.
  • Monitor equipment functionality, report malfunctions, and maintain a clean department.
  • Evaluate imaging protocols and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiology Technician obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.


Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
