How you'll make an impact in this role- Capture high-quality diagnostic films by precisely positioning patients and selecting optimal exposure factors.
- Administer contrast media and medications within scope, monitor patients for abnormal reactions, and strictly follow radiation safety protocols.
- Ensure all images sent to PACS are high-quality, accurately labeled with lead markers, and include correct patient data and history.
- Monitor equipment functionality, report malfunctions using lock/tag-out procedures, and maintain a clean, orderly department.
- Evaluate protocols and recommend refinements to enhance imaging standards and operational efficiency.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiology Technician obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional preferences we're seeking- 1+ year of recent experience as Radiology Tech
