Full Job Description
As a Registered Radiologic Technologist you will:
Patient Care -
• Greet and prepare patients for radiographic examinations.
• Verify patient identity and imaging orders prior to procedures.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions or concerns.
• Position patients appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Assist patients with mobility limitations and orthopedic devices, including casts, braces, walkers, and wheelchairs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Diagnostic Imaging -
• Perform physician-ordered radiographic examinations including:
• Upper extremities
• Lower extremities
• Spine
• Pelvis and hips
• Shoulders
• Knees
• Ankles and feet
• Hands and wrists
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
• Review images for completeness and technical quality.
• Ensure radiation safety standards and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles are consistently followed.
• Document imaging studies accurately within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications include:
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• One (1) year of radiologic experience preferred.
• Previous experience in an orthopedic, sports medicine, or outpatient physician practice preferred.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
• Maryland state radiologic license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and musculoskeletal imaging.
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and imaging protocols.
• Ability to efficiently perform multiple radiographic studies in a high-volume clinic setting.
• Proficiency with digital radiography and PACS systems.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

Pay Range:
$32.17 - $48.25
