About the RoleOpenAI believes that access to AI tools and training should expand opportunity-not deepen existing divides. We're looking for a Workforce Partnerships Manager to help scale Global Affairs' workforce initiatives and Certifications programs.
This person will build and manage partnerships with workforce development organizations, community colleges, nonprofits, employers, governments, and other institutions working to prepare people for an AI-enabled economy.
You'll play a critical role in translating OpenAI's workforce vision into practical programs that help people build skills, gain confidence using AI, and access new economic opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesPartnership Development & Management- Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with workforce organizations and strategic partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Global Affairs Certifications partnerships.
- Support partnership design, implementation, renewals, and expansion opportunities.
- Coordinate with partners to establish goals, success metrics, and reporting structures.
Program Strategy & Execution- Support the launch and execution of workforce initiatives focused on AI literacy, upskilling, and economic opportunity.
- Collaborate with Academy, Certifications, GTM, and Product teams to align programs and resources.
- Develop playbooks and implementation guidance for workforce partners.
- Monitor outcomes and synthesize learnings to inform future programming.
External Engagement- Represent OpenAI at conferences, workshops, and partner meetings.
- Facilitate trainings, roundtables, and stakeholder discussions.
- Help identify emerging workforce trends and opportunities for impact.
- Contribute to briefing materials, presentations, and thought leadership content.
You'll be responsible for:- Experience managing partnerships and programs within workforce development, education, nonprofit, or public-sector environments.
- Strong relationship-management and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Experience executing multi-stakeholder initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Passion for expanding access to opportunity through technology and education.
- Interest in AI literacy, workforce transformation, and the future of work.
- Experience working with workforce boards, community colleges, labor organizations, or economic development entities.
- Familiarity with credentialing, certifications, or adult learning programs.
- Experience navigating public-private partnerships.
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
