Organization:
SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley

Position Overview:
Coordinates all aspects of the Workers Compensation (WC) Program for affiliates within their assigned region. Responsibilities include: managing workers' compensation cases, coordinating return to work in the Connecting to Work Program (CTW) and ADA for work related injury cases. Provides technical support and follow-up to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow of all W.C. procedures and projects. Functions as a liaison between Manager/Supervisor, Claimants, Human Resources Partner, Safety, Workers' Compensation adjusters and providers. Provides resources and training to managers and employees regarding programs, procedures, workers' compensation regulations, statistical data related to workers' compensation injuries, and the Connecting to Work Program.

Job Description:

The person selected for this role must come on site a minimum of two days a week for work. This is NOT a remote role and candidate must live a commutable distance to our River Plaza location.

EDUCATION:
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
  • Bachelor's in Business Administration, Public Health, Human Resources or other related field


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations regarding State Disability, Family Medical Leave Act, California Family Rights Act, Pregnancy Disability Leave, Reasonable Accommodation, American's with Disabilities Act, and Fair Employment and Housing Act and Workers Compensation.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated skills in PC applications (Professional Microsoft Office Computer Software).
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Requires skill in interpersonal communication and relationships.
  • Possess verbal and written communication skills including but not limited to detailed & accurate business writing letters and reports
  • Ability to analyze claims settlement value prior to seeking settlement approval
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities in an interruptive environment.
  • Ability to exercise significant patience, understanding and empathy when dealing with all contacts and possess the ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information.
  • Ability to work with diverse health care and administrative professionals at all organizational levels.
  • Possess problem-solving, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
  • Possess effective listening and conflict resolution skills.

Pay Range is $88,212.80 to $132,329.60 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
