Role Overview:

Seeking an experienced and strategic Lead, People Solutions (Workday Technical Lead) to serve as the technical owner and architect for the Workday platform and People Technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for defining and executing the technical strategy, architecture, governance, security model, integration framework, and operational support model across Workday and related HR technologies. The Lead will act as the organization's primary subject matter expert and technical authority for Workday Security, Integrations, Data Architecture, and Platform Optimization, partnering closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the People Technology landscape remains scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the overall technical health, stability, performance, and scalability of the Workday platform, including governance of Workday security & integrations architecture.
  • Establish and maintain operational support processes, SLAs, monitoring standards, and incident management procedures.
  • Lead root cause analysis and remediation efforts for critical production issues and integration failures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on platform reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage technical debt and platform optimization opportunities across the People Technology landscape.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit, SOX, GDPR, data privacy, and enterprise security standards; conduct periodic security audits & risk assessments.
  • Establish integration standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
  • Provide technical oversight and governance for AMS teams, including developers, integration resources, and support personnel.
  • Define and maintain the People Technology architecture roadmap aligned with organizational goals and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Evaluate business requirements and recommend scalable, secure, and sustainable technology solutions.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture teams to align People Technology strategies with broader enterprise technology standards.
  • Lead architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and solution governance activities.
  • Assess technical impacts, dependencies, risks, and opportunities across People technology platforms.
  • Maintain architecture diagrams, technical standards, integration inventories, and data flow documentation.

Required Skills:
  • Workday Security
  • Workday Integrations (Workday Studio, EIB, Connectors, PECI/PICOF, APIs)

Qualifications:

Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, HRIS, or related field.
  • Workday certifications in Integration, Security, HCM, or related areas.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and HR digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with other HR/People Technologies like learning platforms (Cornerstone etc.), recruiting platforms (Phenom, Greenhouse etc.), survey platforms (Qualtrics, Perceptyx etc.), Skills platforms, Case Management Platforms (ServiceNow etc.), Time & Attendance platforms (UKG, Infor).
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica.
  • Experience integrating Workday with identity management, payroll, benefits, finance, and analytics platforms.
  • Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps & ITSM practices.
  • Experience working in global or multi-region HR environments.
