Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Payroll Lead to own the design, configuration, testing, and delivery of a critical Workday Payroll workstream for a higher education and government client. This high-impact, client-facing role is ideal for a hands-on Workday professional who can lead a team, translate complex payroll requirements into effective solutions, and guide the workstream through a successful rollout.

This is a primarily remote role requiring onsite travel approximately 1 to 2 weeks per quarter to the Atlanta, GA area. Per our client contract, candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card Holders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Workday Payroll design and configuration
  • Gather and document requirements and design decisions
  • Demonstrate Workday Payroll features to client stakeholders
  • Configure the software and support testing and rollout
  • Lead Payroll Compare planning and execution
  • Communicate Payroll Compare gaps and recommended next steps
  • Provide knowledge transfer to the client team
  • Manage and support Payroll functional team members
  • Provide input into the cutover plan


Qualifications

  • Workday Payroll certification
  • Prior Workday Payroll implementation experience
  • Hands-on Payroll configuration experience
  • Functional or team lead experience
  • Strong client-facing, documentation, and testing skills
