GEICO seeking a Senior Engineer 6 Workday Financial Integrations to design, develop, support, and enhance integrations supporting our Finance ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be a strong hands-on engineer with expertise in Workday Financials integrations, cloud technologies, APIs, automation and

AI driven tools.This role will partner closely with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure integration solutions while leveraging AI-driven tools and automation to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

Position Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer, you will:

  • Manage system integrations within the architecture of the Workday Financial system.

  • Identify and implement AI-driven opportunities within Finance processes and Workday ecosystems.

  • Provide support for Workday inbound and outbound integration issues, changes to existing integrations and develop new integrations.

  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle.

  • Lead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the team.

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, clear documentation, and problem resolution.

  • Analyze and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications.

  • Apply AI-based techniques to automate integration monitoring, validation, testing, and support processes.

  • Develop solutions that leverage AI services to improve Finance operations and user experience. Use AI tools for troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, document generation, and operational insights.

  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with, and learning recent technologies, participating in internal and external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.

  • Build AI-enabled monitoring and observability solutions for integrations.

  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend strategic use cases that improve productivity and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing new and enhancing existing Workday integrations, PRISM lineages & Accounting Center processes with financial domain.

  • Experience with Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards),

  • Strong technical experience with XML and XLST,

  • Knowledge of Workday development tools (Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, BIRT).

  • Experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions for complex integrations.

  • Practical experience using Generative AI tools in software engineering and business processes.

  • Experience with developing systems that are scalable, resilient, and highly available.

  • Experience architecting and designing new and current systems.

  • Strong problem-solving ability

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication).

  • Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently, providing timely follow-up and resolution.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Ability to identify automation opportunities using AI and deliver measurable business value.

Experience

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience within Workday Ecosystem

  • 3+ years of experience with architecture and design

  • 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service

  • 1+ years of experience building AI-powered applications, chatbots, or intelligent agents.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience


Annual Salary

$100,000.00 - $215,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidates work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
