About this Role

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a Work Methods Specialist to support PAR field personnel and leadership by providing coaching, technical guidance, and hands-on instruction to strengthen safe, efficient, and standardized work practices across all operations. This role partners with Operations, Safety, and Training teams to develop, implement, and maintain best practices aligned with PAR and Quanta standards, client requirements, and regulatory expectations.

 

The mentor plays a critical role in improving field execution by reinforcing technical skills, promoting operational consistency, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a strong safety culture. Acting as a trusted advisor and role model, this position helps crews and leaders achieve high standards of safety, quality, productivity, and professionalism across transmission, distribution, substation, drilling, and specialty construction projects.

What You'll Do

Mentoring & Skill Development

  • Coach, mentor, and support field personnel and leadership across all classifications.
  • Teach and reinforce trade skills related to transmission, distribution, substation, drilling, electrical theory, tools, equipment, and construction standards.
  • Observe field work, evaluate performance, and provide feedback to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Identify training needs and assist with onboarding, training materials, best practices, and hands-on instruction.
  • Support major projects, pre-job planning, ONJ training, field discussions, and post-incident learning efforts.

Work Methods & Operational Excellence

  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized work methods, job procedures, and construction practices aligned with PAR and Quanta standards.
  • Conduct field observations, job assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, OSHA regulations, and productivity goals.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Safety, Engineering, and Training teams to improve construction methods and operational efficiency.
  • Research tools, technologies, and equipment to enhance work execution and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze job performance trends and participate in regional operations discussions to identify opportunities for improvement and alignment across projects.

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

  • Journeyman Lineman certification or equivalent field experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical utility construction, work methods, safety, training, or field leadership roles.
  • Field experience in transmission, distribution, substation, or specialty construction strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of utility construction techniques, equipment, industry standards, and safe work practices.
  • Ability to translate technical information into clear, practical procedures and training materials.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach to leadership and mentoring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with digital documentation systems and field data platforms is a plus.

Compensation RangeThe anticipated compensation for this position is USD $130,000.00/Yr. - USD $170,000.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
