Clay County Public Health is now accepting applications to be considered for an open position as a Full-Time Withdrawal Management/Detox Manager.

Status: Exempt | Monday -Friday 8:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M. This position requires you to be on call during some evenings/nights/weekends and holidays.

Hiring Salary: $85,488.00 to $88,774.40 or negotiable, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Full Salary Range is: $85,488.00-$121,659.20.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Behavioral Health, Business Administration or a closely related field. A BSN/RN is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience in health care administration, behavioral health, substance use treatment, public health or closely related field.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide administrative leadership for the Withdrawal Management Program.
  • Collaborate with the Public Health Director on strategic planning, policy development, and operational initiatives that support the mission and goals of the Public Health Department.
  • In collaboration with the Public Health Director, oversees recruitment, hiring, orientation, employee development, scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action.
  • Fosters a positive workplace culture that emphasizes accountability, teamwork, continuous quality improvement, employee development, and exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborates with the RN Supervisor, Medical Director, and clinical leadership to ensure evidence-based practice, safe client care, appropriate admissions and discharges, and compliance with all licensing standards.
  • Represents the Withdrawal Management program with hospitals, behavioral health providers, correctional facilities, law enforcement, emergency medical services, treatment providers, community organizations, county departments, state agencies, and regional partners.
  • Participates as a member of the Public Health leadership team by attending management meetings, contributing to department-wide strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, policy development, budget discussions, and organizational decision-making.
  • Participates in Public Health emergency preparedness activities, Incident Command System (ICS) functions, continuity of operations planning, and county emergency response activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
