Wireline Tractor Field Specialist (Altus)

As a Field Specialist, you will maintaining tractor operations in a professional manner in such a way that equipment resources are utilized optimally. Health, safety and environment must always be the paramount objective.

Fuel your passion

As a Field Specialist you will be responsible for the following:
  • Planning and organizes performance of service, tools and equipment required for the job.
  • Checking quality of data acquisition.
  • Isolating location of tool or equipment failures and directs remedial action to ensure continued operation of service.
  • Understanding electronics and has ability to trouble shoot required tools in the field with assistance.
  • Ensuring results are complete.
  • Participating in client relations and observes safe work practices.
  • Receiving, controlling and preparing necessary equipment for tractor operation according to procedures
  • Assisting operating company's representative in relation to the operations
  • Being responsible for the execution of a safe tractor operation according to Baker Operational Procedures
  • Being responsible for finalizing the package report after job has been completed
  • Being responsible for complying with HSE safety requirements
  • Being responsible for cleaning and maintenances of tools, truck and equipment in a professional manner according to required checklist
  • Packing, labelling and reporting shipment according to procedures
  • Reporting non-conformities in HSE, equipment and undesired incidents to Operation Manager
  • Reporting relevant and necessary data for maintenance, statistics and experience data according to internal procedures
  • Participating in professionally-directed training as instructed by the company and contractors
  • Participating in relevant project work/meetings/courses as required
  • Getting acquainted with permanent base employees' responsibilities
  • Following Altus safety rules
  • Reporting status on performed work to relevant work Supervisor/Manager
  • Taking personal responsibility for HSE and Quality
  • Being familiar with Hepta & VPMs Operations.
  • Having good knowledge of 318 tractor break down
  • Being exposure to with 218, 434 Tractor
  • Being experience with wireline/tractor operations
  • Understanding of explosives safety IRP's


To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have minimum of 3 to six (6) months in FSI role.
  • Have minimum of 3-5 years directly related experience
  • Have clean class 5 Drivers Licence. No demerits
  • Have basic level computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Have Baker Hughes minimum HSE course requirements.
    Show superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Show ability to work under pressure, multi task and set own priorities.
  • Have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Be a team player, good interpersonal skills.
  • Pride in the ownership of the finished work.
  • Accepts responsibility
  • Must be willing to travel
