Full Job Description
General Summary

Under the direction of the Wireline Area Manager or Field Superintendent, this position is responsible for selecting, deploying, and operation of geophysical logging equipment (including gyro deviation instruments), as well as reviewing, processing, and presenting geophysical data for a diverse range of clients.

Essential Job Accountabilities
  • Operate, deploy and maintain downhole geophysical logging equipment
  • Conduct deviation surveys and process collected data to ensure precision
  • Select appropriate downhole equipment according to project needs and verify geophysical data accuracy
  • Present processed geophysical data, including deviation survey results, clearly and professionally for clients
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure the successful completion of services
  • Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on geophysical equipment as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols during field operations
  • Promote borehole services and foster a positive company image through direct client and community engagement
  • Manage cost control effectively to self-manage impact on company profitability
  • Represent the company at client-organized technical and safety meetings
  • Deliver high quality, technically advanced services essential for significant capital investments
Education
  • Geology, engineering or related degree preferred


Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience with downhole geophysical logging equipment, downhole deviation surveys, and related data processing tools
  • Prior experience in surface metal and non-metal mining operations preferred
  • Experience working on surface and underground in mining environments and/or construction environments is preferred
  • Must be available to travel to field sites
  • Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment
  • Ability and willingness to abide by Granite's Code of Conduct daily
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record to operate required equipment for this position
  • CDL license - Class A or B, is a plus but not required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of sample material or core boxes. The employee is required to walk uneven and steep ground to access property for the purpose of field mapping. The employee must be able to work outside all seasons of the year, all day long. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Base Salary Range:
$69,557.00 - $104,334.00
Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
